Hey Ladies !!!!!

 

Our Concert is 10/23/18

 

All-District Registration Forms and money is due.

 

 Hey SSA Choir. 

We perform for the Richlands Railroad Section House Grand Openning on October 13. Wear black choir Tees. 

Our Fall Concert is Tuesday October 23rd at 6:30.

Ladies may use their cell phones to record rehearsal  tracks and practice.

We are working on music reading and sight singing.

Each student needs a folder, a pencil, and a few sheets of notebook paper for class. 

 

We will be singing vocal warm ups, learning  how singers breathe, and why posture is important for singers. 

 

Daily warm-up:

 

Clapping correct rhythms in echo

Singing Do-Dol in solfeg with Curwen hand signs

Building chords and harmonies

Singing Scales and Vocaeze w/ or w/o solfeg and/or Curwen hand signs.

 

Selected repertoire concert selections:

Begin singing med-easy Unison, SA, SSA, and SSAA songs from Choral Octavos, and by rote.

 Students will identify, define and demonstrate:

.

Posture

Singing alone and in groups

Vocal Range

Identify voice designation and divide into sections.

Sing warm-ups and vocaleze.

Rehearse “The Gospel Train,” “People Get Ready,” and “Nine Hundred Miles,” “The Loco-Motion,” “Love Train,” “Midnight Train to Georgia,”and “Alma Mater” “Star- Spangled Banner, “Roll On Train, Roll On,” "Whither Must I Wander."

The students may be asked to use their cell phones to record and rehease the songs.
